An illustrated poem which celebrates children who enjoy doing all kinds of activities. This poem originally appeared in The Random House book of poetry for children, published in 1983.

Gerry, a most enthusiastic singer, is certain her music teacher will choose her to perform the solo at the Winter Wonderland Festival, and when someone else is chosen it takes a snowfall to bring Gerry's sparkle back.

A boy sets off with his flute, his stuffed bear, and a rum-pum-pum, and making his way through the town and woods, he is joined by dancing and singing children and animals, one by one.
