Graydon Butler is a popular boy at school and is known for driving a fancy sports car, until an accident totals it. Unwilling to indulge him, his parents force him to ride a bicycle to school, so to avoid embarrassment, he keeps it a secret from his friends. This plan is threatened when his secret is discovered by Rachel Wilson, a nobody at school who he's never noticed before. In order to keep her from exposing him he decides to keep eye on her. As he spends more and more time with Rachel, he begins to fall for her. He soon discovers that she's being bullied by one of his friends, and as they face the challenge together, Graydon comes to realize that life isn't all about popularity and fancy cars, and that there are important people in his life he wants to protect.
