"Young English noblewoman, Anne Ayscough, lived during the turbulent times of Henry VIII, when Protestant reformist ideas clashed violently against entrenched Catholicism. Yet many, especially the wealthy, owned William Tyndale's New Testament, including the household of Sir William Ayscough in Lincolnshire.
